The Hertfordshire Way ~ Codicote to St Albans thanks to Jackie McCall

The following post written by Jackie McCall on her lovely walking blog evoked so many happy memories of my days growing up in the St Albans area:

St Alban’s Cathedral

  • A dear friend who used to live in Wheathamstead
  • Batchwood Golf Course where we started our Easter Pilgrimage on each Bank Holiday Monday to St Albans Abbey Cathedral
  • St Micheal’s Church where I rand church bells and Mum taught for years
  • The Blue Anchor and the Fighting Cocks 😉
  • The ‘Lake’ (isn’t it called a lake any more?) and the park
  • and finally St Albans Abbey

On the Easter Pilgrimage!

…not to mention lovely flora and fauna on the way

Many thanks to Jackie Mc Call:
