Wishing you a very Happy Christmas

We are looking forward to a quiet Christmas this year having enjoyed a family get together early in December. What has made this year special has been visiting friends and relatives locally to where we live, or them dropping in on us in a very informal way – just for a cuppa and a catch up and even a reminisce. This was rather than popping cards through the door or just posting them.

Last night we joined the folks of Ampthill in the town square for a hearty rendition of all the favourite carols before a bell and a ho ho ho marked the appearance of Santa.

We could not help but think of folks up in Kinghorn, Fife, where we enjoyed Christmas last year … and of course the people in Glasgow. We were in that very spot only a year ago and our hearts go out to the families.

I’m also thinking of family around the world and friends on Alderney.

Wherever you are and whatever you are doing ~ Keep Safe and enjoy a Wonderful Christmas.

Hi Diana — we’re also having a quiet Christmas this year and I love what you say about it being special when friends just pop in. We’ve had that, too, where neighbors stopped by unexpectedly to wish us a Merry Christmas.

It warms my heart. To me, that’s what it all about and what we feel is the love in reaching out and connecting with one another. God bless and wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year. πŸ™‚
